This is one of the things that kept me busy these past few days.  I help as a volunteer that coordinate some schools listed in their directory. Not all schools are members of PACE that’s why, like laying another task on the table, I have to go to those school and send them some invitations so that they can be aware about the events and eventually become a member of PACE, of Philippine Association of Communication Educators.  We are trying to make a solid group made of all Colleges, University and Institutions that teaches Mass Communication or others calls it Communication Arts.

After the successful Communication Research seminar-workshop in May 2009, the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE) brings another opportunity for professional development.

In cooperation with the National Committee on Culture and Arts (NCCA) Cinema Committee, the College of Saint Benilde (CSB), and St. Theresa”s College Cebu, this seminar workshop dubbed as CRAFTING THE NEW SCHOOL OF PHILIPPINE CINEMA aims at teaching the aesthetics and craft of digital filmmaking. This is open to all communication educators who handle courses in Introduction to Mass Comm, Multi-Media Presentation, Media Literacy, Production, and Film Appreciation.

There will be two separate schedules for the seminar-workshops: 1) November 19-21, 2009 for Luzon and NCR participants at College of St Benilde, Vito Cruz, Malate, Manila and, 2) November 27-28, 2009 at St. Theresa’s College Cebu, Don Ramon Aboitiz St. , Cebu City for Visayas and Mindanao participants. Please see attached documents for details.

Schools may send at least 2-3 participants. Pre-register now to reserve slots (deadline for early bird registration is November 14, 2009).

We anticipate your favorable response and unwavering support to PACE. Let us be one in mind and purpose.

[to be much aware of the topics that will be discussed in the workshop-seminar, here are some copies of the program]
